Student Florist Cup 2018

This year 16 florist students from 5 different schools from Estonia (Räpina School of Horticulture, Estonian Florist School), Latvia (Florist School Ziedulaiva, Floral School-Workshop Grieta) and Finland (TTS Työtehoseura) participated in the competition.

Design I was a room decoration on theme “My Home”, and the competitors know the task. In this design both competitors of the school team work as a pair and they may prepare construction or parts of it at home.

II design was bouquet inspired by water. Competitor may prepare construction or parts of it at home. Bouquet will be judged with the Glass Bowl.

III design was a surprise theme – Out of the bag! Black paper bag must be used and Oasis Rainbow Foam Brick Lime Green must be used in the design.

The judging procedure was closed.

Judges – Aija Zagarina (Latvia), Sören Van Laer (Belgium), Miia Hakala (Finland), Ahti Lyra (Estonia) and Mihkel Saar (Estonia).

Technical committee – Taavi Forssell (Finland), Beguta Kevvai (Estonia).

Grand Prix was achieved by Elīna Zinoviča, a student from Latvia, Florist School Ziedulaiva. The runner up place went to Jana Tiļuga (Latvia, Florist School Ziedulaiva) and the bronze went to Ieva Eglīte from Latvia, Floral School-Workshop Grieta.
