Student Florist Cup 2016

This year 15 florist students from 5 different schools from Estonia (Räpina School of Horticulture, Estonian Florist School), Latvia (Florist School Ziedulaiva), Finland (TTS Työtehoseura) and Germany (Ernst Benary Schule Erfurt) participated in the competition.

Design I was announced theme – “Inspired by Estonian design”. The first design has been partly prepared at home and inspired by Estonian design-hanger “Manfred“.

II design was a surprise theme, the bouquet theme “James Bond 007”.

III design was a show task – to decorate the umbrella. This design was not assessed.

The judging procedure was closed.

Judges – Ahti Lyra (Estonia), Kaire Hallikainen (Finland) and Yulia Medvedyeva (Estonia).

Technical committee – Sirje Varm (Finland), Kersti Aave (Estonia).

Grand Prix was achieved by Maarja Malsroos-Väli, a student from Estonia, Estonian Florist School. The runner up place went to Eve Kivi (Estonia, Räpina School of Horticulture) and the bronze went to Anneli Jürioja, also from Räpina School of Horticulture.
