Student Florist Cup 2019

This year 19 florist students from 8 different schools from Finland (TTS Työtehoseura), Russia (Floristic School „Flowers in Details“), Poland (Warsaw University of Life Sciences), Latvia (Florist School Ziedulaiva, Floral School-Workshop Grieta) and Estonia (Räpina School of Horticulture, Hiiumaa Vocational School, Estonian Florist School) participate in the competition.

Design I was a room decoration on theme “Baltic Sea”, and the competitors know the task. In this work the competitors can use materials collected from field trip in the same morning as they competed. The given construction – pedestal must be used.

II design was a surprise theme, bouquet ‘Spring’. The competitors task here is to make a hand tied bouquet with one binding point.

III design was a surprise work, arrangement ‘Easter’ sponsored by Oasis Floral Products. The given Oasis Rainbow ball black and the plate must be used.

The judging procedure was closed.

Judges – Pirjo Koppi (Finland), Miia Hakala (Finland) and Janne Raud (Estonia).
Technical committee – Tiina Koskinen (Finland), Laura Uusi – Simola (Finland) and Katrin Lehtveer (Estonia).

Grand Prix was achieved by Inga Ose, a student from Latvia, Florist School Ziedulaiva. The runner up place went to Anne Forssell from Finland, TTS Työtehoseura and the bronze went to Sanita Rozina – Latvia, Florist School Ziedulaiva.
